Gianna in Dalat

Gianna really had a blast in Dalat. We spent 4 days in the chilly city and she was so excited the whole time. She did lots of activities such as strawberry picking in a strawberry farm, sight seeing, riding a cable car and a ludge. 

We also went to see an old train and a train station. 

Gianna in Winter Clothes

Gianna went to the role play area and grabbed some winter clothes. She said, "Ms. Christine I want to wear this one." After putting the gloves, jacket, and scarf on, she said, "I'm going to Korea!" I asked her what she will see in Korea and she said, "Snow!"

Philippines and Thailand!

Gianna went to school in her beautiful Philippine Saya. She went up to me and said, "Look, I'm Philippines!" She hugged Eine and said, "Eine is wearing a pink dress." I asked Gianna where Eine is from and she said "Thailand!"

Playdough

Gianna went to the playdough area, got a piece of playdough from Mako and said "May I?" 

                 

Music with Mr Robbie

Gianna joined in really well during Music time. Mr Robbie sang the song 'Hello How Are You?' and Gianna was able to join in by doing the actions of the song. Well done Gianna :)

Gianna Rides an Aeroplane!

Gianna went to our 'Vietnam Airlines office' to purchase a ticket. She gave me money and said, "I want to go to Korea!" as she pointed to the photo on the desk. She followed my instruction properly when I told her to go the Ms Thuy to get her boarding pass. She learnt the words: 'boarding pass', 'passport', 'aeroplane', 'pilot' and 'seatbelt'. When she rode the aeroplane she fastened her seatbelt and said bye to her friends and teachers. Have a safe flight Gianna! 

Show and Tell

Gianna had a go at our Show and Tell activity on Monday. She was very happy to show everyone her favourite toy and book from home. Gianna was also very kind to share her things with her friends.

She said the following during the show and tell and whilst playing with her friends:

"Cinderella toy from Mickey Mouse show"

"My Monster Inc. book" (Named each character on the front cover of the book)

"I'm sharing my book with friends"

"Yes you can play. Open the book"

"I ride the aeroplane and watch Mickey Mouse show"

Mark-making

Gianna ran to me and said "Come! Look! I make a fish!" She held my hand and led me to the mark-making area. She showed me her drawing very proudly and said again "I make 2 fish! One, two!" Well done Gianna! 

Gianna's monster

I was very proud to see Gianna's mark making skill this morning on my desk. She just started drawing without me guiding her. When i saw what she was doing, I just asked her what she had made and she specifically pointed on every bit of her drawing and ascribed meaning to it. I was very proud after that and I could not believe that she was able to make a beautiful drawing of her current favourite : 'Monster'

Role play area

Gianna enjoyed playin in the role play area. She pretended to ride the hot air balloon with her friends and said, "Look! I'm inside!".

Weekend 01-02.11.2014

Gianna helped her mum decorate the Christmas tree. She was very excited she could not help but say "It's so amazing mummy!"

Gianna at the Creative Area!

Gianna independently went to the Creative Area and said, "Gianna want to make a boat." She got her name from the  cupboard and even handed out her friends names. She properly glued the shapes on the paper. She showed her finished work to me and said, "Ms. Christine, look! A pirate boat!" 

Pirate Gianna!

Gianna enjoyed singing the Pirate Song during Hello Time today. She can sing the song very well and do the the actions too.  Good dancing and singing Pirate Gianna!

Weekend 12.10.2014

Gianna was very happy to feed the fish. She was excited when she threw a big piece of bread and lots of fish swarmed around it to eat. Gianna was able to spot the biggest in the pond and said "Mama that's the big one!"

Emotion Balls

Gianna played with the emotion balls with her friends in the soft play room. She got some balls and described them as 'happy face', 'sad face' and 'angry face'.

Here, Gianna looked closely at the yellow ball and said "This is a happy face!"

           

Water tray

Gianna played with Eine in the outdoor water area. She used a net to catch different toys in the water. When she found a sequin, she showed it to me and said " Look! Circle!". After that, she got a fish and said "Big fish!".

Weekend 27-28.09.2014

Gianna has had a very busy but fun weekend!

Last Saturday, she watched the Mickey Mouse magic show. The show ran for 2 hours and Gianna sat beautifully the whole time. She was mesmerised by the characters most especially Mickey and Cinderella. She could not stop talking about the experience she has had and was telling everybody what she had seen from the show.

She also joined in the BBGV fun run. Although she did not run, Gianna walked around in her pushchair  with her mum. She enjoyed seeing many people and the view!

Gianna's weekend 20-21.09.2014

Gianna met a new dog named Yogi. At first she was a bit scared but after a while she gently stroke Yogi and was very happy to see her. 

Painting Activity

Gianna chose to do painting activity in the workshop area. She used different coulours and a thin brush. Gianna kept saying 'Look! Look!'. When asked what she made, Gianna said 'Zoo! Elephants!'. Great work, Gianna! :)

Princess Gianna

Gianna and Eine both wore the princess costumes and played together in the soft play room. Gianna said "Eine is Snow White! Gianna is Cinderella!" She then pointed at Eine again and said "Eine beautiful!"

                

                

                

Weekend 30.08.2014

Gianna helped in mopping the floor. She was very keen on using the spinning mop with her nanny. 

Gianna in Manila

Gianna visited her grandparents' house over the summer and was very excited to play the keyboard. She also played with her cousin Zara. 

1st week of summer

Gianna is learning to ride and maneouver a scooter.

Mark-making

Gianna went to the mark- making area independently. She got the grass picture and drew lines. She then said "Grass!"

           

Enjoying Some Painting

Gianna independently went to the Workshop Area where we were painting some flowers.  When she saw her friends painting, she came close to me and said "I want paint".  I then gave her paper and a paintbrush which she used to make beautiful strokes of colours green and yellow.  Afterwards, I asked her what she made and she said "Flower!".  Well done Gianna for painting beautifully and for exploring independently!

Weekend 10-11.05.2014

Gianna was not feeling well over the weekend but that did not stop her from doing some activities at home.

She told her mum that she wanted to paint.

ICT

Gianna joined her friends as they played a game in the computer. She was so excited to see Dora and Diego riding an aeroplane. "Diego flying! Aeroplane!" Gianna also used the mouse to move the cursor around.

       

Play time at Kids' Yard

Gianna played at a play place called Kids' Yard. Luckily, Selina was also there ao she played with her. She was very nice sharing toys with her. They played in the ball pit, trampoline and the role play area.

This is her favourite area! She was squealing in delight everytime she fell down.

Happy on Green Day

Gianna was such an adorably happy girl on Green Day!  She came to class wearing a lovely green outfit with some newspaper trimmings for an even better green look.  She spent most of her time in the Soft Play Room running and jumping around with her friends.  She also joined in the Workshop Area activity where she made a pirate hat using old magazines and a soda can.  Well done Gianna for truly enjoying Green Day!  Keep it up!  :)
