ARC Visit

Dr Nghia from ARC visited us with his assistant and a sweet and cuddly cat, Ho. The children had their turn in using the stethoscope and stroking the cat. Well done! 

Gianna's weekend 22-23.02.2014

Gianna spent her weekend with some of her mummy and daddy's friends. She was very lucky to have them at home. Auntie Cheska played with her in the playground and she was very happy!

Filling and Emptying a Cup

Gianna went to the Tuff Spot independently today and had a go at filling a cup with sand.  She first saw me mixing the sand; and when I asked her "Gianna, would you like to fill this cup for me please?", she responded with "Yeah!".  I then gave her a scooper and a cup which she filled until it overflowed--showing confidence and good hand control.  When the cup was full, she tipped it over to empty it, and filled it again.  That was really nice scooping, Gianna!  

Making friends

Gianna played positively with Uyen and her other friends in the soft play room. She went in to the tunnel with Uyen and they kept smiling at each other whilst they were there. "Uyen!" said Gianna. Well done Gianna and Uyen! 

Sunday swimming

It has been a long time since Gianna went to the pool to play. Her daddy decided to take her to the swimming pool for a morning treat.

At first, she was a bit unsure whether she wanted to take a dip or just laze around the pool but she had decided she would not let this chance pass so she went splashing! Gianna also played at the fountain area which she enjoyed a lot!

Gianna at the Zoo

Gianna was very excited seeing different animals at the Saigon Zoo. She patiently waited and walked around the huge zoo to see elephants, flamingoes, monkeys, lions, bears and horses.

She was lucky enough to see one elephant taking a dip. She and her mum also fed the elephants with some veggies.

Her dad carried her up his shoulder to see a good view of the Asian black bears.

"Monkey!" Gianna exclaimed when the monkey sat close to her.

She was waving hello to the flamingoes.

"Bird, hello bird!"

Gianna could not stop staring at the elephant. 

Teddy Bears' Picnic

Well done Gianna for joining in our Teddy Bears' Picnic and for exploring different activities! 

              

      

Gianna's weekend 08-09.02.2014

Every Saturday night, Gianna together with her mum and dad go to church. Last Saturday, after attending mass her mum and dad took her to their favourite restaurant for dinner. Whilst waiting for our food she sat nicely playing with the iPad.

When we got off the taxi, Gianna saw her friend MM and they walked together on the way home. Gianna was very gentle with her.

Sunday - her parents took her to Crescent Mall. She was very excited when her dad bought her a Minnie Mouse balloon!

After her stroll at the Crescent, Gianna visited Ate Gabbie and they played the whole afternoon! Ate Gabbie even gave her a hat! (Ate means big sister in Filipino)

Being kind

Gianna and Kiet played very well with each other today. Gianna held Kiet's hand and kept gaving him sweet cuddles. Well done! 

         

Magnets

Gianna independently went to the Investigation area. She got the magnet bar and used it to get different objects. She was very happy to see lots of different things attached to the magnet as she raised it. Good investigating Gianna! 

          

Holiday in the Philippines

Gianna enjoyed spending her Tet holiday back home. She was very excited to see aeroplanes whilst waiting for our flight at the airport. She couldn't stop saying "Hi aeroplanes!"

She was very happy seeing and playing with her cousins!

This is Gianna's cousin named Asha. They were having a good time nibbling on some treats in front of a local store near her grandma's house.

Gianna could not help but be in awe riding a 'jeepney' parked outside Grandma's house. ( a jeepney is a public mode of transportation in the Philippines)
