Counting Game
Gianna played the game '10 green bottles' on the IWB. Whilst playing, I asked her what she thinks the next number would be. Gianna then correctly said, "Number 8!"

Maths Area
Gianna returned to the Maths activity several times this week. Gianna enjoyed the peg and plate activity in maths table. She was able to count the numbers of the pegs, she counted them using one to one correspondence and was able to represent number 5 using his fingers. She also to recognizes the number 1 to 20.
Number recognition and counting
Gianna enjoyed putting on pegs so the number of pegs matched the number on the plate. she was accurately able to add four pegs to the plate for number '4'.

Maths
Gianna showed interest with shapes . She is familiar with the shapes triangle square and rectangle and was able to put them together. Gianna then called, "Ms Crislet, look what I made!"

Popoids
Gianna sat quietly in the construction area and built her model independently. She connected all the popoid pieces together for the body and added the head, hands and shoes. She made another one afterwards and said "I make one for Mako!"

Counting
Gianna counted the blocks 1-10 whilst pointing at them one by one. She was able to recite the numbers in sequence but needed support in counting using one to one correspondence.

Soft play room
Gianna enjoys jumping on the trampoline. Here, she jumps with her favourite sensory ball. She was also able to count from one to nine.
