ARC Animal Visit

       ARC went for their initial visit to F2 class to talk about pets and how we should be caring for them. Gianna showed keen interest and attention whilst the ARC people talk and volunteered to touch the dog. Gianan asked doctor Nghia " Can I touch your dog" and she touched the dog very gently hand. Well done Gianna!

Splash Pool

Gianna enjoyed a game in water with Ana Vo. Anna Vo pretended to be a shark and chased Gianna.  Gianna was good at saying 'stop' whne she didn't want to be chased anymore.  Later on, back in the classroom, she got a sticker from Ms Clarissa for changing her clothes all by herself.  

Maths Area

Gianna returned to the Maths activity several times this week.  Gianna enjoyed the peg and plate  activity in maths table.   She was able to count the numbers of  the pegs, she counted them using one to one correspondence and was able to represent number 5 using his fingers. She also to recognizes the number 1 to 20.   

Classroom

Recently, Gianna has been spending time in the Maths area.  She enjoys playing with the animals with Ana.  Gianna also enjoyed role playing with a group of children.  She spoke with confidence.  Here are some of the things she said this morning:

"I get the Ostrich."

"This is my brother" ( pointing to one of the animals)

"I got sister Aria."

"I have Christmas.  I have Christmas presents at home."

"I'm Elsa.  Who are you?"

"I will go!  I am sorry.  I am police!"

Gianna Goes to the Moon with Hanna!

Gianna took some alien costumes in the role play area. She put the red one on Hanna's head. 

"Look Ms Christine, I'm a purple alien and Hanna is the red one!" They pretended to ride the spaceship together. I asked her where they we're going, "We're going to the moon! Zooooom!", she replied. 

Playground

               At the Fundino playground, Gianna was excited to make some bubbles. She tried to blow it and was very happy when she finally saw big bubbles. She called me and said, "Look at bubbles, it is so big"

Karoke in F2T

Gianna had a fantastic time singing in F2T! She patiently waited for her turn, took the microphone and said "It's my turn now. I want to sing". Gianna is familiar with the lyrics of the song Let It Go fom the movie Frozen. Fantastic singing! 😃🎤

Gianna's first week back

Gianna enjoyed exploring different learning areas in the classroom during her first week back in school. She has been particularly enjoying the whiteboards and markers on the mark-making table. When asked about her drawing, she said "I draw my daddy. His tummy is big and he wears black!". What a very interesting description Gianna! Well done! 

Puffy Paint

Gianna asked to paint the dinosaur with the puffy paint.

She said:

"I like flying dinosaur, please?"

"I put it in the microwave! I bake it!"

"I don't paint the face. Only the body!"

"Do you like it?"

Fundino playground

Gianna talked to Zilin with so much excitement. She said, "I will come back my home in Philippines. You can't see me."

Mark-making

Gianna used a coloured pen in fist grip to draw something. When she finished, she said "Look! I draw a sheep. Baa Baa". It's lovely. Well done Gianna!

Maths

Gianna showed interest with shapes . She is familiar with the shapes triangle square and rectangle and was able to put them together. Gianna then called, "Ms Crislet, look what I made!"

Popoids

Gianna enjoyed playing with popoids in the construction area. She built a person and was able to identify the hands, shoes, tummy, neck, eyes, nose, ears, and head. She did it patiently and did not stop until she finished it. She said, "I'm made my dada!" and pointed to each body part. 

Playdough

Gianna made an ice cream for me and Ms Precious. She made a 'cone' and then rounded and twirl pieces of playdough for the ice cream. "Ms Crislet, ,look! I made ice cream for you!" She also said "I made a really big one for Ms Precious!"

Building a Tower

Gianna and Mako helped each other to build a 'tower' with the soft blocks in the Soft Play Room. Gianna said "This is Gianna and Mako's tower! I'm Rapunzel!"

Soft Play Room

In the soft play room , Gianna was very happy to show her mark-making book with her teacher . She went to Ms Trinh  and said  "Ms Trinh! Ms Trinh! It is my book.'' . She then gave it to Ms Trinh and they looked at her drawing together.

Monster maker

Gianna asked if she can use the monster maker app. she had a go at making her own monster on the ipad by swipping different shapes and face features on the ipad. When she finally made a monster, Gianna said, "I want to take a photo with my monster!" Well done, Gianna!

Mark-making

Gianna had a go at using her mark-making book today. She made lots of different faces and later named them one by one. Gianna,  you're a star! :)

Gianna's 'Hello time'

Gianna got the visual timetable cards and sat on the carpet with Hannah. 

Gianna: What's this? 

Hanna: Hello time!

Gianna: What's this Hanna? This is swimming but not today! Tomorrow! 

Well done Ms Gianna! 

Gianna in Winter Clothes

Gianna went to the role play area and grabbed some winter clothes. She said, "Ms. Christine I want to wear this one." After putting the gloves, jacket, and scarf on, she said, "I'm going to Korea!" I asked her what she will see in Korea and she said, "Snow!"
