Fundino Playground

Gianna joined our Dinosaur Egg Hunt. She searched carefully by digging the sand with a spade and even used her hands. She counted the eggs and also had a chance to open each of them. She was very happy to see the dinosaur inside the eggs.

ARC Animal Visit

       ARC went for their initial visit to F2 class to talk about pets and how we should be caring for them. Gianna showed keen interest and attention whilst the ARC people talk and volunteered to touch the dog. Gianan asked doctor Nghia " Can I touch your dog" and she touched the dog very gently hand. Well done Gianna!

Tet Role Play Area

Gianna has been enjoying dressing up in an Ao Dai almost everyday in the last two weeks.  She told me she has an Ao Dai at home.  She enjoys wearing the Ao Dai whilst shopping in our Tet shop and is good at adding adding more money to her purse!

EYFS Teddy Bear’s Picnic

 Gianna enjoyed exploring the different areas at BVIS during the Teddy Bears Picnic.

Holiday

At snack time today, Gianna engaged in a conversation with her friends and said, "Everyone, how's your holiday? Where did you go? Me, I went to Australia and I played with Laisha. Ms Precious, I saw Music. Nothing happened with music. Laisha and me saw toys. Laisha and I played with toys. We saw a train, the duck toys and we walked around and played painting in Australia. I ride the aeroplane with Laisha, some other friends and your friends too. We went back to school". 

Visiting the Vietnamese Room in the International Week

Gianna visited the Vietnamese Room.This time, our theme was Vietnamese Tet. In there, she joined in with different Vietnamese activities with her friends such as a crab,deer and fish game in which she threw up the dice on a big mat.  She enjoyed having a photo taken at the boat full of flowers. Then, she tried to get the hen with eggs in the cage.

Classroom

Recently, Gianna has been spending time in the Maths area.  She enjoys playing with the animals with Ana.  Gianna also enjoyed role playing with a group of children.  She spoke with confidence.  Here are some of the things she said this morning:

"I get the Ostrich."

"This is my brother" ( pointing to one of the animals)

"I got sister Aria."

"I have Christmas.  I have Christmas presents at home."

"I'm Elsa.  Who are you?"

"I will go!  I am sorry.  I am police!"

Gianna Goes to the Moon with Hanna!

Gianna took some alien costumes in the role play area. She put the red one on Hanna's head. 

"Look Ms Christine, I'm a purple alien and Hanna is the red one!" They pretended to ride the spaceship together. I asked her where they we're going, "We're going to the moon! Zooooom!", she replied. 

Building a train track

Gianna enjoyed building a train track. She connected them one by one and then put the train engine and the carriages on it.  She also made the train sound "toot-toot-toot" as her train cars departed. 

Popoids

Gianna sat quietly in the construction area and built her model independently. She connected all the popoid pieces together for the body and added the head, hands and shoes. She made another one afterwards and said "I make one for Mako!"

Building a Tower

Gianna and Mako helped each other to build a 'tower' with the soft blocks in the Soft Play Room. Gianna said "This is Gianna and Mako's tower! I'm Rapunzel!"

Monster maker

Gianna asked if she can use the monster maker app. she had a go at making her own monster on the ipad by swipping different shapes and face features on the ipad. When she finally made a monster, Gianna said, "I want to take a photo with my monster!" Well done, Gianna!

Gianna's 'Hello time'

Gianna got the visual timetable cards and sat on the carpet with Hannah. 

Gianna: What's this? 

Hanna: Hello time!

Gianna: What's this Hanna? This is swimming but not today! Tomorrow! 

Well done Ms Gianna! 

Gianna in Winter Clothes

Gianna went to the role play area and grabbed some winter clothes. She said, "Ms. Christine I want to wear this one." After putting the gloves, jacket, and scarf on, she said, "I'm going to Korea!" I asked her what she will see in Korea and she said, "Snow!"

Philippines and Thailand!

Gianna went to school in her beautiful Philippine Saya. She went up to me and said, "Look, I'm Philippines!" She hugged Eine and said, "Eine is wearing a pink dress." I asked Gianna where Eine is from and she said "Thailand!"

Emotion Balls

Gianna played with the emotion balls with her friends in the soft play room. She got some balls and described them as 'happy face', 'sad face' and 'angry face'.

Here, Gianna looked closely at the yellow ball and said "This is a happy face!"

           

Water tray

Gianna played with Eine in the outdoor water area. She used a net to catch different toys in the water. When she found a sequin, she showed it to me and said " Look! Circle!". After that, she got a fish and said "Big fish!".

ICT

Gianna joined her friends as they played a game in the computer. She was so excited to see Dora and Diego riding an aeroplane. "Diego flying! Aeroplane!" Gianna also used the mouse to move the cursor around.

       

Filling and Emptying a Cup

Gianna went to the Tuff Spot independently today and had a go at filling a cup with sand.  She first saw me mixing the sand; and when I asked her "Gianna, would you like to fill this cup for me please?", she responded with "Yeah!".  I then gave her a scooper and a cup which she filled until it overflowed--showing confidence and good hand control.  When the cup was full, she tipped it over to empty it, and filled it again.  That was really nice scooping, Gianna!  

Magnets

Gianna independently went to the Investigation area. She got the magnet bar and used it to get different objects. She was very happy to see lots of different things attached to the magnet as she raised it. Good investigating Gianna!
