Long weekend

We went out for lunch with our friends. 

Uncle Roy and Auntie Sharon came to visit us.

Fundino Playground

Gianna joined our Dinosaur Egg Hunt. She searched carefully by digging the sand with a spade and even used her hands. She counted the eggs and also had a chance to open each of them. She was very happy to see the dinosaur inside the eggs.

F2 Trip to KizCiti

       The children explored some of the areas at KizCiti. These includes the fire station, aeroplane, bakery, ice cream parlour, beauty salon and hospital.  

Mark Making

Gianna enthusiastically came over when I asked her to come and draw a dinosaur.  Gianna was able to draw a dinosaur following step by step instructions.  Over the next couple of days, she returned to the activity to choose another dinosaur to draw. This time, Gianna followed pictorial step by step instructions independently.  She held her pencil with a tripod grip.

Easter break

Weekend 26-27.03.16

Gianna went on an Easter egg hunt around our house. Her mum hid the eggs and she had to look for them based on what her mum had to say. 

Weekend 19-20.03.16

Gianna helped her sister blew the candle off to celebrate her 6 months.

ARC Animal Visit

       ARC went for their initial visit to F2 class to talk about pets and how we should be caring for them. Gianna showed keen interest and attention whilst the ARC people talk and volunteered to touch the dog. Gianan asked doctor Nghia " Can I touch your dog" and she touched the dog very gently hand. Well done Gianna!

Weekend 12-13.03.16

It has been another busy and fun weekend with Gianna at home. First, we played a number/colour/shape game and then we baked some cupcakes.

Harry and the Dinosaurs Have a Very Busy Day

Gianna chose to read this story on her own after library.  She independently matched the shapes to the everyday objects in the book.

Next Steps: To look out for and identify shapes in everyday objects in her environment.

Mark Making

Disney on Ice

 Gianna had so much fun watching the Disney on Ice show. Aside from the princesses, Mickey Mouse and his friends, she also saw Ngan.

Library

This week, during library time, we shared the story, 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea'.  Gianna told me, "I love this story".  After we had finished, I asked Gianna where the tiger went after leaving Sophie's house.  Gianna said, "The tiger go to the forest...to his house".

Counting Game

Gianna played the game '10 green bottles' on the IWB. Whilst playing, I asked her what she thinks the next number would be. Gianna then correctly said, "Number 8!"

Gianna in HK Disneyland

Gianna met so many princesses when she visited HK Disneyland.

Making Playdough

 

Gianna wanted to mix some ingredients together to make some red playdough with her friends. We mixed flour, cooking oil ,salt and red food colour.. She said: "I want to mix them all and see it red."

Tet Role Play Area

Gianna has been enjoying dressing up in an Ao Dai almost everyday in the last two weeks.  She told me she has an Ao Dai at home.  She enjoys wearing the Ao Dai whilst shopping in our Tet shop and is good at adding adding more money to her purse!

EYFS Teddy Bear’s Picnic

 Gianna enjoyed exploring the different areas at BVIS during the Teddy Bears Picnic.

Weekend 16-17.01.2016

We took Gianna to Vivo City in D7 as a treat for coming back to school and waking up early in the morning.

She got really excited to see the Disney on Ice display and she couldn't wait to watch the real show in February. 

Gianna couldn't believe it when she saw a princess eating at McDonalds!

She also went on a 'zebra ride'.

Holiday

At snack time today, Gianna engaged in a conversation with her friends and said, "Everyone, how's your holiday? Where did you go? Me, I went to Australia and I played with Laisha. Ms Precious, I saw Music. Nothing happened with music. Laisha and me saw toys. Laisha and I played with toys. We saw a train, the duck toys and we walked around and played painting in Australia. I ride the aeroplane with Laisha, some other friends and your friends too. We went back to school".
