Muine Trip during the holidays

Together with our family and friends, we went on a trip to MuiNe. It was an enjoyable trip despite the rains. 

We woke up early to catch the sunrise! It was beautiful!

Water was really cold so Gianna wasn't able to swim so instead she spent time writing her name on the sand.

Splash Pool

Gianna enjoyed a game in water with Ana Vo. Anna Vo pretended to be a shark and chased Gianna.  Gianna was good at saying 'stop' whne she didn't want to be chased anymore.  Later on, back in the classroom, she got a sticker from Ms Clarissa for changing her clothes all by herself.  

Visiting the Vietnamese Room in the International Week

Gianna visited the Vietnamese Room.This time, our theme was Vietnamese Tet. In there, she joined in with different Vietnamese activities with her friends such as a crab,deer and fish game in which she threw up the dice on a big mat.  She enjoyed having a photo taken at the boat full of flowers. Then, she tried to get the hen with eggs in the cage.

Maths Area

Gianna returned to the Maths activity several times this week.  Gianna enjoyed the peg and plate  activity in maths table.   She was able to count the numbers of  the pegs, she counted them using one to one correspondence and was able to represent number 5 using his fingers. She also to recognizes the number 1 to 20.

Gianna enjoyed putting on pegs so the number of pegs matched the number on the plate.  she was accurately able to add four pegs to the plate for number '4'.

Classroom

Recently, Gianna has been spending time in the Maths area.  She enjoys playing with the animals with Ana.  Gianna also enjoyed role playing with a group of children.  She spoke with confidence.  Here are some of the things she said this morning:

"I get the Ostrich."

"This is my brother" ( pointing to one of the animals)

"I got sister Aria."

"I have Christmas.  I have Christmas presents at home."

"I'm Elsa.  Who are you?"

"I will go!  I am sorry.  I am police!"

Weekend 05-06.12.15

Gianna attended 2 parties over the weekend.

Weekend 21-22.11.2015

Our whole family went to Ho Tram for the weekend to celebrate Gianna's birthday.

Weekend 14-15.11.2015

This weekend we had a pre-birthday celebration for Gianna. It was a simple party made special with few friends around. Gianna couldn't contain her excitement and happiness over her princess themed party.

Weekend 07-08.11.2015

We took Gianna for a treat to Starbucks last Friday. She was very excited to have the Christmas gingerbread man, vanilla cream drink and a muffin!

She also had some visitors over the weekend. She and Danielle played together and was very kind sharing her toys to her.

Weekend 31.10-01.11

Gianna attended Vivi's birthday party. She had lots of fun with other children!

Gianna at Vietopia

We took Gianna to Vietopia for the first time. She went to make chocolate ice cream. 

Playdate with Mako

Mako visited Gianna for a playdate over the half term break. Both of them shared toys with each other and were very nice playing with Gianna's toys. 

Gianna Goes to the Moon with Hanna!

Gianna took some alien costumes in the role play area. She put the red one on Hanna's head. 

"Look Ms Christine, I'm a purple alien and Hanna is the red one!" They pretended to ride the spaceship together. I asked her where they we're going, "We're going to the moon! Zooooom!", she replied. 

Weekend 03-04.10.15

Gianna is a very kind and gentle sister to Aria. Over the weekend, she looked after and played with her.

Playground

               At the Fundino playground, Gianna was excited to make some bubbles. She tried to blow it and was very happy when she finally saw big bubbles. She called me and said, "Look at bubbles, it is so big"

Weekend 26-27.09.2015

Gianna's dad took her to TiniWorld for some fun activities this weekend. She was very excited about this plan and couldn't wait for Saturday to come.

Building a train track

Gianna enjoyed building a train track. She connected them one by one and then put the train engine and the carriages on it.  She also made the train sound "toot-toot-toot" as her train cars departed. 

Karoke in F2T

Gianna had a fantastic time singing in F2T! She patiently waited for her turn, took the microphone and said "It's my turn now. I want to sing". Gianna is familiar with the lyrics of the song Let It Go fom the movie Frozen. Fantastic singing! 😃🎤

Gianna's first week back

Gianna enjoyed exploring different learning areas in the classroom during her first week back in school. She has been particularly enjoying the whiteboards and markers on the mark-making table. When asked about her drawing, she said "I draw my daddy. His tummy is big and he wears black!". What a very interesting description Gianna! Well done! 

Summer holiday

Gianna together with her friend MM went to Tiniworld to play.

Her Lola Luz (grandmum) came over to visit from Manila. She had a grand time with her!

She then flew back to Manila to spend time with her family. Gianna was too excited to visit Toys R Us and was able to buy some toys.

They also went out of the city and explore Batangas. She together with her cousins basked in the sun, playing at the beach and the swimming pool!

It was indeed a great summer holiday!
